Everyone is all gaga over social networks. From MySpace which has over 200 mil. users and Facebook with 50 mil users, everyone is into social networks. But are both of these popular social networks days number by a new site called Doof? I’ve been playing around with Doof this weekend and it is totally fun. Doof is a social network for people into casual games. The site is not like your typical social networks filled with ads and spam. The site is designed for you to network, play games, chat, upload photos, and more. Now the site closed off like Facebook as you have to be a member to really experience the site. There are no real pages at the interface is more like a desktop in your browser or like Microsoft’s Wallop or the site Iminlikewithyou.com. There are about 50 games that you can get started playing and you can customize your space with a photo and publish it for other to see.
I’m curious to see how well this site will do. The site has no advertising at all so if it becomes popular I’m sure they are going to have to figure out a way to make money. Right now you can buy doof credits if you want to battle it out in a game with a buddy. And just like Facebook you can buy mini items/gifts to send to your friends. The have some cool stuff in this site and if you a game like me you will be totally hooked on this site. If time spent on a site is the new killer matrix for the success of a site then Doof will win hands down.
