Say it ain’t so, say it ain’t so…but ‘Girlfriends’ has bit the big one. The CW announce that this week was the LAST episode of ‘Girlfriends’ aired on Monday. I was a fan and watched this past Monday as Joan found out that her man was coming back from Iraq. But is just leaves the show with no closure and no real ending. If you where a fan of the show then protest and let the CW know that you want ‘Girlfriends’ back on in the air. ‘Girlfriends’ was the last of the all African-American casted sitcoms on air. The CW needs to remember that it become the popular network on the back of African-American shows. Shows that brought eyeballs to the station and helped to make what was the WB and UPN popular spots. But now after they have their success they kick the shows that made them successful off and replace it with crap like One Tree Hill.

This is a terrible day for me. I have watched Girlfriends since the beginning and I am sad to hear of the sitcom’s ending. I’ve laughed and cried while watching the show. It always gave me something to look forward to on Monday nights when all of the other tv stations were showing bullcrap. First Girlfriends, next Everybody Hates Chris, The Game. It’s only a matter of time until Black America has nothing to watch or relate to on television. CW continues to dismiss the popular black shows from its lineup. HOW TERRIBLE!!!
Girlfriends is a FANTASTIC show that I’ve followed from the beginning. It is not fair that we don’t get a proper series finale.
What are you thinking? You can a least bring closure with the series. What Joan getting marry? Monice and the baby? Bring closure to these issues, before cancelling the show.
I am very disappointed to hear that Girlfriends has been cancelled. After all of these years Joan finally meets her Mr. Right and you cancel the show. We don’t know if he really gets home, if they get married or if they have children. What if Brock came back and through a wrench in the plan? There are so many options for this show. I think you should give this a second thought.
After all these years how dare they cancel the show and we did not get to see Joan get married. They could atleast do that.

Im highly pissed that they took this show off, I like so many other fans have been there since the beginning! at least give this wonderful show a wonderful ending….! damn and now they are talking about yanking The Game off? theres nothing left to watch but reality tv!!
I really loved the television show Girlfriends. I don’t like the fact that CW did not have an ending show, and they have kept everybody hanging.
I would like to see Girlfriends have a better ending. If it is to be cancelled, at least have a show saying good-bye to the fans. CW, we (the fans) made you what you are today by supporting your network, now it is time to repay the favor. Bring Girlfriends back at least for the season finale.
I just cant beliieve that it is cancelled. i love girlfriends! my whole thing was even though they kicked tony (jill marie) off the show it was still. so who can we talk to to get the show back on we need some more all black people shoes.

I am disappointed that after all of these years, the producers of Girlfriends are not going to show a final showing of Girlfriends. The viewers are left hanging without any closure to a wonderful sitcom. Why not have an hour show and allow Girlfriends to go off the air with dignity?

JOAN GAVE US HEARTBREAK THERPY AND STYL, LYNN GAVE US CUTLURE. TONI GVE US CRAZYNESS AND MYA GAVE US MARRIGE ADVISE NEVER HAS ONE BLACK SITCOME GAVE US EVERYTHING IN ONE IT WAS NOT BASED ON NOT HAVEING MONEY BUT BEING SUCESSFUL IN OUR CAREERSLOVING OUR BLACK WOMEN AND NOT BEING HATERS BECAUSE OUR SELF ESTEM WAS LOW BUT TO HELP OUR SISTERS IN DIVORCE HEARTBREAK CAREER UPS AND DOWNS. I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT HALF & HALF OF ALL OF US I REALLY LIKED THOSE SHOWS TOO AND YOUR RIGHT THEIR WAS NO SEASON FINALLY WE NEED TO BOYCOTT THE CW
I think that cancelling Girlfriends was a stupid move on the CW’s behalf. Stop being greedy and give him us shows with African American Actors.Cancelling shows like Girlfriends, Half & Half,makes me feel like your network is prejudice against shows that portray African American actors in a positve light. I ask that you please listen to your viewers and put Girlfriends back on the air, and keep The Game on as well. Now one should that should have never came into creation is Aliens In America, that show should be cancelled right now. If you don’t keep shows on that African Americans can relate to you are going to lose a lot of viewers.
Well, the CW is true to form. Just like all the other networks, they have proven just how little they value the viewing audience of color. Unfortunately we the viewing audience still give them a chance to do it right and they never fail to prove we shouldn’t.

I have no idea where you guys are getting your information from. It’s bad enough we have damn near no shows that reflect us black women in the media, but the one that does a very good job gets cancelled? I honestly think that it was a sabotage because all of a sudden the script I noticed wasn’t as good as in the past. Ever since the spin off the GAME came on Girlfriends writing has been going down hill…… If you guys have any sense of decency, you will listen to the many fans out here and put the serious back on the air. I am so tired of not being represented on tv, and in the small instances that I am, I have to hold my breath because I know some top level exec is going to try and have it cancelled at some point to put a show like Gossip girls on….. I can’t take it anymore.
By the way I love the GAME!!!! One of the best sitcoms in years, the writing is superb…..now get girlfriends back up to their caliber.
man, this is some hoe shit to just cancel girlfriends with out a proper ending. i am highly upset. just when things were looking good for the cast…lynn finally got a career, joan got a MAN and william was about to have a baby? come on now, we deserve a proper ending, at least to know what happens…they didnt do sex and the city like that!!!
