ShoWest 2007 Photocall For "Hairspray"

A new chapter for the Hairspray franchise, created by John Waters, is in the works. New Line movie studio is working to bring back the full cast from the original musical movie version in a sequel. Queen Latifah played the fast talking civil right DJ Motormouth Maybelle. The new film would pick up with events that happened right after the end of the last film. New songs are currently being written for the movie but no word as of yet when we would see this new film.
