The Sheila Files: Respect My Vote, BET, and Hip-Hop Caucus Goal to Sign up 50,000 Voters.

The bi-partisan Hip-Hop Caucus is teaming with Radio One for the “Respect My Vote” Campaign, aimed at registering over 50,000 voters on Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The one day drive will be held in 15 big market cities throughout the country, including Atlanta, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Detroit, St. Louis, Charlotte, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C.

BET Networks is joining the effort with its “Stand Up, Sign Up, Be Heard” campaign. On Saturday, (Sept. 27), the network will host a voter registration day on air (from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET/PT), online and in communities across the country.
