30-Something Women Pissed at NBC for Cancellation of “Lipstick Jungle”

Well it didn’t last to long but the ladies of Lipstick Jungle are no more. NBC has canned the show based on the best-selling novel from Candace Bushnell, the same author of Sex and the City. The show was in it’s second season but there is no word as of yet on if they will show the remaining episodes.

The show was never doing that well in the ratings and NBC moved the time slots around a few times hoping to find it’s niche. But soon the axe fell on the show and now Brooke Shields, Kim Raver, and Lindsay Price are out of a gig.

Of course an online petition is now ready for you to sign to help save the show. You can sign the petition by going here. But I think petitions are really old hat and don’t really work. IF you want to make some noise and save the show do something press worth. Send lipstick tubes to NBC with a note demanding that they keep the show on.

But maybe they will move it to an online series. Who knows…

I am somewhat upset as well. I thought lipstick jungle was a great show. I also thought it was doing ok. II guess not…oh well.
