Tupac Shakur Foundation Needs Interns

by GreasyGuide on January 7, 2009

The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation is the heartbeat of hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur’s legacy. Over the last 11 years Tupac’s family has worked hard to keep his vision alive through the Foundation. On June 11, 2005, the Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts Visitor Center & Peace Garden opened in Stone Mountain, GA. The Center contains rotating exhibits, Tupac memorabilia, a gift shop, dance floor, and rehearsal & rental space. The Center is also the site of the annual youth Leadership & Arts Camp, which focuses on creative writing, vocal technique, acting, stage set design, dance, poetry & spoken word, and the business of entertainment. We are seeking serious, motivated interns who meet the following criteria:

• Must currently be a college/graduate student in the Atlanta, GA area.
• Must commit to a minimum of 10-12 hrs/wk.
• Should possess excellent communication & computer skills.
• Should have a strong interest and/or experience working with a non-profit organization.

Please submit a cover letter and resume to: vwcambridge@tasf.org
