Super Bowl Sunday Recipe: Chocolate Bourbon Cake

Super Bowl Sunday is only 24 hours away. So it’s time to get cooking before your guest arrive. Check out this kick ass Chocolate Bourbon Cake from

1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
4 squares bitter chocolate, melted
2 eggs (beat whites and yolks separately)
1-1/2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups cake flour, sifted before measuring
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons Jim Beam® Bourbon

Cooking Instructions
Cream butter and add sugar gradually. Beat until creamy. Cool melted chocolate a little and add to mixture. Add beaten egg yolks, vanilla and Jim Beam® Bourbon. Combine sifted flour, baking powder and salt. Sift three times. Alternately add the flour mixture and milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Fold in nuts and stiffly beaten egg whites. Pour into greased and wax paper lined oblong pan and bake in a 350-degree oven for 35 minutes or until done. Frost with your favorite icing.
