The rumors around the net have been flying like crazy and it’s time for Chris Brown and Rihanna to kill it all. Chris Brown needs to go to a journalist that he trusts, get on camera, and do major damage control. The more time he waits to speak to the public and his fans the more that people are beginning to believe that he “may” have hit Rihanna. Chris Brown is losing money as the days go on. He’s already had his Wrigley Jr. Gum deal suspended, songs banned, Sesame Street will no long re-broadcast his August 13, 2007, appearance on the show. And the fans are angry!
Rihanna has not come out in public to address the incident. But she has cancelled several performances. The pair now needs to kick their expensive PR teams into gear and do damage control or they will both lose a lot of ground they have gained in their careers. If Chris Brown does not come out and address his fans and make an apology for his behavior then he’s sending an extreme message to his fan base that’s going to damage and taint his career forever.
Rihanna can help give strength to young women who might have been abused in a relationship and let men know that it is not OK to hit a woman. Chris Brown can set an example by coming out and stating his wrong doings and help men who might be abusers to be honest about their problem and to seek help. These are serious issues for such a young couple. I truly wish both of them well and much success. But as public role models the time is now that they must speak up and help everyone move on from this.
If you or anyone you know is in an abusive relationship then PLEASE SEEK HELP!
