“Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire” has been on a role as
of late winning just about every award a film can get. Just recently
the film won the top award at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Could Precious be headed towards a big win at the Oscars? All sings
point to yes as g the Oprah WinfreyTyler Perry -produced film has a
huge leg up for the forthcoming Oscar season. The film, a gritty tale
of the abuse and redemption of a teenage girl in Harlem, captured the
festival’s People’s Choice award, which is voted on by filmgoers. Last
year the award went to best picture Oscar winner “Slumdog
Millionaire.” So lets keep our fingers crossed.
