Superbowl Cocktails: Bourbon is the new Black

Bourbon Lemonade
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 cups water
- 1 1/4 oz Jim Beam,The Distillers Series, bourbon
Garnish: lemon slice (and mint leaves)

Serve in a pretty glass for the ladies. And if the men serve in a manly mug.

Combine sugar and one cup water in a sauce pan and boil until sugar is dissolved. Allow syrup to cool. Combine syrup with lemon juice and remaining seven cups of water. Fill tall collins glass with ice, pour bourbon into glass. Fill with lemonade. Garnish with lemon slice. (Cocktail created by Cochon Restaurant, New Orleans LA)

you are so correct ..I will have to e-mail the site I got the recipe from and let them know that sugar is missing fromthe list

But in the instructions, it says to "Combine sugar and one cup water in a sauce pan and boil until sugar is dissolved". That's what I was referring to.

Nope not everyone likes sweet drinks. I like my bourbon strong and in charge. Puts hair on ya chest.

Um.... did you forget the sugar in the Bourbon Lemonade ingredients list?
