
Jay-Z taped a special edition of VH1′s “Storytellers” recently in Brooklyn to give fans a taste of his new music on the “American Gangster” soundtrack. All of the music was inspired by the upcoming Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe movie which will hit theaters on Nov. 2nd. The movie is a depiction of the life of Harlem drug lord Frank Lucas. “I was watching the movie and I was pulling emotions from the film,” the 37-year-old rapper told the crowd, which included girlfriend Beyonce, on Wednesday night. Among the new songs he previewed were “Pray,” “Dreamin’” and “Party Life,” and another about addiction.
