Star Jones and Al Reynolds Divorce: What Happened?

Star is a very smart women so I am truly perplexed why she married Al Reynolds and why so soon after meeting him. She met him in November - got engaged in February and married a year after meeting him. Also she said the minute she met him she heard the bell and she knew he was the one. Her behavior doesn't match the intelligence she displays. I can only believe that she desperately wanted to have a story book marriage to whoever. There obviously was more concern about "the wedding" than the spouse.

It was all about Star playing out childhood fantasies. She had everything else in life, didn't she? College graduate, successful attorney, television personality, celebrity, businesswoman, but single. She wanted the happy ending.
